The Five AM Club
“Own your morning. Elevate your life.”
— Robin Sharma”

There’s a bold idea that sounds unreasonable at first:
Wake up at 5AM.
Six days a week.
The concept comes from The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma.
When I first heard it, I thought it was extreme.
Now I wake up at 4:30AM on most days.
And I wouldn’t go back.
The Starting Point
Mornings used to feel rushed.
Alarm.
Phone.
Email.
Out the door.
The day owned me before I owned the day.
Creative work was squeezed into leftovers.
The Invitation
Try this experiment:
Wake up at 5AM.
No scrolling.
No noise.
Just quiet.
You’ll notice something immediately.
The world is still.
The light changes slowly.
Your mind feels clear.
Sunrises are underrated.
The Test
The resistance shows up fast.
“I need more sleep.”
“I’m not a morning person.”
“I’ll start next week.”
Fair.
But ask yourself:
When do you do your best thinking?
When are you least interrupted?
For most people, that window is early.
The Guidepost
The power isn’t just the hour.
It’s what you do with it.
Move your body.
Think clearly.
Build something meaningful.
Even 60 focused minutes before the world wakes up changes your trajectory.
You stop reacting.
You start leading.
The Change
In music production, mornings become sacred.
You design sounds without distraction.
You write before self-doubt gets loud.
You finish mixes before messages arrive.
Instead of rushing to work,
you arrive prepared.
Instead of chasing time,
you create it.
The Return
Every day is a small journey.
Wake.
Train.
Create.
You begin in darkness.
You work in stillness.
You step into the day stronger.
Try 5AM for one week.
Not forever.
Just long enough to feel the difference.
You might discover that the best studio in the world
is the one that opens before everyone else.

Song of the Week 🎧
“California Dreamin'” — The Mamas & the Papas
|
This song is the sound of the 1960's for me. I love the sounds they got back then. I was surprised to find out the reason for that. They had a house band called The Wrecking Crew, who were the musicians that played the music on the recordings of a lot of the hits in the 60's, including this one. But I don't care. This sounds awesome! The tape noise, the chamber reverb, the harmonies, the drum sound, the loud Motown-style tambo! 10/10
