Drums & Bass
After a quick tour of Ableton Live, you program a drum beat and write a bassline.
Chords & Percussion
You lay down a chord progression and drop in a percussion loop.
Melody & Mix
You write a melody, add a vocal chop, then mix and export your song.
No experience needed. Just three things:
1. A computer, Mac or PC
2. Headphones or speakers
3. Ableton Live 12 Suite. The free 30-day trial is Suite, so that works. It has to be Suite, because you'll use instruments that Standard, Intro and Lite don't have.
